I went to go help my daughter move today, Caitlyn my beautiful grand daughter came with her to see
me. Caitlyn is a total joy, so full of love & imagination always full of questions , your typical 6 year old
child.
So when we got in the house & moving things about a found a penny & called Caitlyn &
told her I found a penny & it was hers, I told her the story about the penny about always to trust in God &
how she had an angel watching over her, she looked up at me & said Mee-Mee I know that & I'm sending one with you
to make sure you get home ok. I hugged her & thanked her, knowing shes an angel herself, & told her I loved her too.
Well a few minutes later I guess she over heard me & her mom talking about the walk we had &
about Clay.
She come up & asked me, "Mee-Mee why did you walk for Clay? Can't he walk?
Where is he?
So I stood there & looked in those innocent eyes of hers knowing she would not understand
what we were doing or so I thought.
I told her that we walked to raise money to help get Clay home to his daddy & yes he can walk.
I told her where he was at. She looked up at me & said Mee-Mee I want to help get Clay home too & off she went.
As my daughter Constance & myself were packing & moving things around, here comes
Caitlyn, she had the look of pride beaming from her & the biggest smile, her eyes were just shineing like they do on Christmas
morning. She had a little straw box in her hands, she held it out & said Mee-Mee I want to help Clay get home, I want
to see him again, cause if he don't come home they will never let us see him. I love him too .
I smiled & she handed me the box it was heavy I opened it up & it was full of penny's,
dimes, nickles, a quarter. I hugged her & told her I would put it in the funds for Clay. She had ran around the house
& found all the change laying around & took all the change out of her piggy bank. What do you say to a child so full
of innocents & love?
I got home I looked at the box & counted the gift she so freely gave the total was $5.26. So
there is 5.26 more in the funds to fight our battle.
Thank You Caitlyn one day I will get to share this story with Clay of how your love for your
little cousin & giving what you had for him. I will remember what you told me Trust In God Mee-Mee. I will sweetheart
I will.
